How to choose the ideal bikini for your body?
No need to panic! The secret is to choose the bikini best suited to your body type, and then you can let your tastes decide!
But remember: what really matters is that you feel good!
Ideal bikini for inverted triangle: women with this body type have shoulders wider than their hips, so to balance the silhouette, opt for bikinis that draw attention and add volume to the hips, such as high-waist bikinis, ripple bikinis, tie-side bikinis and bikinis with vibrant details and prints on the bottom. What to avoid? So as not to create the effect of even bigger shoulders, avoid bikinis with sleeves.
Ideal bikini for hourglass: women with this body type have proportional shoulders and hips and a well-defined waist. Generally, all types of bikinis are suitable, including one-pieces. Sliding triangle bikinis, thong bikinis and bikinis with a fixed triangle top are the most ideal. What to avoid? So as not to unbalance the silhouette, avoid bikinis with uneven proportions between top and bottom.
Ideal bikini for rectangle: women with this body type have proportional shoulders and hips and a barely defined waist. The most suitable bikinis are those that add volume to the bust and hip areas, such as ripple bikinis, ruffled bikinis and monokinis and high-cut styles. What to avoid? Avoid very straight one-pieces and the combination of a cropped top with high-waist bottoms if you want to emphasize your curves.
Ideal bikini for oval: women with this body type have more volume in the abdomen area relative to the shoulders and hips. So the ideal is to draw attention to the bust and hip areas, with high-waist bikinis, bikinis with a wide sliding top and pieces with a plunging neckline. Morango Brasil also has a plus size beachwear line. What to avoid? Avoid pieces with large prints on the abdominal area.
Ideal bikini for triangle (pear): women with this body type have wider hips relative to the shoulders. To harmonize the silhouette, opt for bikinis that add volume to the bust area, such as bikinis with prints and details on the top, like cropped bikinis, bandeau bikinis and bikinis with sleeves. What to avoid? So as not to create the effect of even bigger hips, avoid bikinis with side ties.
How to choose the ideal size?
Morango Brasil has an online tool to help you choose the ideal size. On each product page, you will find the virtual fitting room and the measurement chart. Just follow the instructions by entering your measurements and the fitting room will recommend the ideal size. You can also compare your measurements with the chart.
How to take your measurements:
Bust: Wrap the measuring tape around your bust (breast area) and breathe normally. Notice the variations as you breathe and record the largest number.
Waist: Stand in front of a mirror with your waist clearly visible. Leaning your torso slightly to the side, look for a crease forming, which indicates the position of your natural waist. Wrap the tape around your waist.
Hip: Wrap the measuring tape around the 'widest' area below the waist, passing parallel across the highest part of the glutes.
